Co-owner at Deepthought.nl - January 2007 – June 2008
Deepthought was the result of the merger of four Dutch (Leiden based) companies: Freetime Warrior, L3E-dynamics, Studio37 and Baston Consulting.
With this merger we aim to combine our knowhow and resources for exciting new projects. Also it enables us to be more flexible and competative in our respective fields of business.

Choosing my love for art and graphic design over my academic pursuits, I started a design studio focusing on graphic design and internet. Because of fresh and innovative ideas and designs the business quickly took off.
Core activities of Studio 37 are Graphic design, Web design, Web- and Database development and Consultancy on content and document management, human-computer interaction and internet marketing strategies.

Co-founder and Managing Director at the Institute of Language, Law and Economics (ILLE) - March 2003 – August 2005
During spring 2003 I got involved in a project by S.D.F. Ryan – J.D., LL.M. an American lawyer who currently works in China, but at the time worked in the Netherlands. His aim is to assist educational institutions and companies with the pitfalls of dealing with legal issues in a non native english speaking environment. To this end he and I started an institute that develops courses for students, educators and professionals in the field of law to maximize their performance in a culturally diverse environment.
The first course was given in fall 2004 at Leiden University to a Group of about 40 lawyers and post graduate students from all over the world.
As Co founder and Managing Director my activities include:
- Setting up and running office in the Netherlands;
- Business and marketing strategy;
- Co-authoring proposals, contracts and promotional materials;
